Transitional Home
WHO ARE WE?
The Transitional Housing Ministry is a program designed to help build a bridge
from the resolutions to change that people make while in prison and the
actual implementation of a new lifestyle once on the outside.
It is administered by Mission For All Nations a bilingual, non-denominational
Christian Ministry.
WHAT DO WE DO?
Level One
This ministry assists people on two levels.
One level is as a place for people coming out of prison to find the items
needed to get restarted on the outside such as:food, clothes, personal
items and referrals for jobs and other assistance. This is available to
anyone on a one time basis simply by completing a request for assistance
form.
Level Two
The second level of the Transitional Housing Ministry is as a furnished transitional
home for those who need a place to stay in a positive Christian environment
while they adjust to a lifestyle very different from their lives before
entering prison.
Currently facilities are only available for three women.
WHAT IS THE TRANSITIONAL HOUSE
The Transitional Housing program provides a furnished home where women who want to
commit themselves to a Christian lifestyle can stay for as long as needed
to help them adjust to freedom as a new creation in Christ Jesus. Each
transitional home resident is expected to seek employment to pay for her
rent and utilities or work as a volunteer at least 15 hours per week until
employment is found. She is responsible to cook her own meals, do her
own laundry, keep her bedroom and common areas clean and pay for miscellaneous
personal expenses. Once employment is obtained, residents
are expected to contribute $300.00 per month towards rent and utilities.
They will pay for personal toll calls separately as well as a percentage
for the use of the local phone. In return, each resident who is accepted
into the program and signs the agreement to abide by the rules, will have
her own furnished bedroom in a furnished three bedroom apartment as well
as the items listed in level one.

HOW DO I HELP?
Give what you have.
Gently used or new items: towels, bedding, household items, beds, curtains,
clothing. New items only please: Underwear, deodorant, toothbrushes, personal
care products.
Volunteer as a mentor to do Bible studies and spend time with one of
the women.
Contribute financially.
There are always items that are urgently needed that nobody donates and
must be purchased.
Please pray for these people and this ministry regularly.
Scripture Reference:
Matthew 25:34-40
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed
of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation
of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty,
and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and
ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye
came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when
saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King
shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye
have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done
it unto me. KJV
